In May 2024, HYROX named F45 Training its Official Global Training Partner in a multi-year agreement. F45 NYC delivers that partnership in five Manhattan and Brooklyn studios.

The Race

What is a HYROX race?

HYROX is the same race, run to the same standard, at every event in the world. Eight 1,000-meter runs alternated with eight functional fitness stations, finished as fast as you can. It rewards aerobic capacity, full-body strength, and the kind of pacing discipline that's almost impossible to fake. F45's group format is the most efficient way to build all three.

F45 × HYROX Signature Series

A 3-phase plan to race day

Programming is built around the HYROX Signature Series — a structured three-phase plan that takes you from base aerobic work to peak race readiness. You don't need a coach to write you a custom program. You need to show up.

01
Foundation

Build the aerobic engine, dial in movement quality on every station, and lay down the work capacity HYROX rewards. Two months of base-building you'll feel from week one.

02
Build

Layer in race-pace running, station-specific strength, and the lung-burning intervals that translate to a faster mid-race. This is where your splits drop.

03
Peak

Sharpen transitions, lock in your pacing strategy, and rehearse race-day execution. Walk into the corral with a plan you've already executed in our studios.

Do I need to be an F45 member to train for HYROX with you?

What's in a HYROX race?
A HYROX race is 8 × 1km runs alternated with 8 functional fitness stations: SkiErg (1,000m), Sled Push (50m), Sled Pull (50m), Burpee Broad Jumps (80m), Rowing (1,000m), Farmer Carry (200m), Sandbag Lunges (100m), and Wall Balls (75/100 reps). Same race, same standard, every event worldwide.
How does F45 train you for HYROX?
F45's HYROX Signature Series is a structured three-phase program: Phase 1 builds the aerobic and movement foundation, Phase 2 layers in race-pace endurance and station-specific strength, and Phase 3 focuses on transitions, pacing strategy, and race-day movement quality. Programming is delivered through our 45-minute group classes plus access to all eight stations during Hyrox Open Gym.
I've never done HYROX before. Is F45 NYC right for me?
Yes. About half the people who walk into a HYROX race are first-timers, and our classes are built so that absolute beginners and seasoned competitors can train side by side. The 45-minute group format is coached, modifiable, and never assumes prior experience.
Do you have race-day equipment?
Yes. F45 NYC studios are equipped with sleds, ski ergs, rowers, sandbags, wall balls, dumbbells, kettlebells, and running space — the same equipment used at HYROX events. Every Hyrox Open Gym session has all eight stations laid out so you can rehearse the full race.
Can I qualify for HYROX races by training at F45 NYC?
Yes. As an Official HYROX Training Partner, F45 members get access to pre-registration windows, early-bird race entry pricing, and invitations to F45 × HYROX Run Clubs around major events including HYROX New York. Talk to your studio's lead coach about upcoming races.
Is there a HYROX race in New York?
Yes — HYROX hosts annual events in the New York metropolitan area. F45 NYC studios prepare athletes for HYROX New York and host on-site activations including the F45 Members Lounge and pre-race Run Club at major regional events.
What's the difference between F45 × HYROX and a regular F45 class?
An F45 × HYROX class is built around the eight race stations and the running demands of the race. A regular F45 class rotates across our broader catalog of 80+ workout templates spanning cardio, resistance, and hybrid formats. Both share the same 45-minute, team-based, coach-led structure.
